Green Cities & Green Communities of Cyprus Awards Results 2021

With this message we would like to inform you that the evaluation of the Candidate Projects by the Scientific Evaluation Committee for the Pancyprian Green Cities & Green Communities of Cyprus Awards 2021 has been completed. The evaluation was carried out in the presence of the Commissioner for the Environment, Mrs. Klelia Vassiliou, and representatives of all the cooperating bodies. 

Based on this evaluation, the community of Pissouri has been awarded the Green Community of Cyprus award for the project: "Promotion of European Erasmus+ Programs and Local Ecological Products in the context of sustainable tourism and environmental awareness of the participants" in the category "Sustainable Tourism" for the year 2021.

With this award, Pissouri Community is automatically included in the Network of Green Cities & Communities of Cyprus of KYPPE.

The green flag will be awarded in a Special Official Ceremony at the Presidential Palace. The Green Flag will be presented by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades.
