Description of Pissouri Primary School
Around 1850 the operation of the first school in the village of Pissouri seems to be placed. In 1912, the need arose to create a new school, which was built in 1915 and operated as a "Boys' School". The "Girl's School of Pissouri" continued its operation in a private house in the village. The rapid development of the village and the growing educational needs led to the decision to build a new school in the village at its current location.
The Primary School of Pissouri, as it is in its current form, is a relatively new building, since it started operating on March 16, 2009. On May 17 of the same year, the school buildings were inaugurated.

Short description
In September 1989, a Kindergarten was established for the first time in the Community of Pissouri. It operated as a Community Kindergarten until September 1993, the year in which the Kindergarten became Public. Initially, the Kindergarten was housed in a room of the old Primary School of Pissouri until the construction of the new building. The new Kindergarten, as it is in its current form, started its operation on March 16, 2009. The Kindergarten is part of the 17 acres of the wider school space, which also houses the Primary School. The inauguration of the school buildings took place on May 17, 2009 by the Honorable Minister of Education and Culture Mr. Andreas Dimitriou.
