Green Point is a demarcated and landscaped area with appropriate building infrastructure and equipment, so that citizens can deposit FREE recyclable materials, separately collected, such as paper, glass, metals, plastics, textiles, edible oils or used items to be subsequently promoted for recycling or reuse.

Restrictions on Waste Collection
1. Excavation, construction and demolition waste (AEKK) of domestic origin will be accepted in limited quantities (for example 50kg per visit per person and a maximum of 1 tone over a period of 6 months from each household). In no case, at any Green Point will AEKK be accepted that does not have a domestic origin, i.e. has come from contractors, industries, skip carriers and other professionals.
2. Unacceptable Waste
The following waste / material streams are not accepted at any Green Point:
• Commercial Waste (Commercial Green and Cardboard Waste). Otherwise, their management costs will be borne entirely by the Contractor.
• Clinical waste, asbestos waste, gypsum board waste and mixed organic household kitchen waste and food. Otherwise, their management costs will be borne entirely by the Contractor.
• Liquid hazardous waste for domestic use and origin (pesticides, gasoline, diesel, alcohol or other chemicals). Otherwise, their management costs will be borne entirely by the Contractor.
• Old or new tyres. Otherwise, their management costs will be borne entirely by the Contractor.
• Under no circumstances at any Green Point, will liquid hazardous waste be accepted; these include pesticides, gasoline, diesel, alcohol or other chemicals. The Contractor must ensure that such waste is not deposited at the Green Points.
