Separate collection and management of hazardous waste produced by households
The Project «Separate collection and management of hazardous waste produced by households» is financed by the Norwegian Funds and implemented by the Department of Environment in collaboration with the Nicosia Development Agency (ANEL)
. During the visits, the public will be informed about hazardous waste, its categorization and how households manage it. At the same time, informational material or other promotional items will be distributed, while the public will be able to leave their hazardous waste in the various bins that the mobile unit will have.

Pissouri is the next destination of mobile units at the parking area of Multipurpose Cultural Center.

BE INFORMED  ABOUT THE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE YOU CAN BRING TO THE MOBILE UNITS

·         Small electrical and electronic appliances e.g., toasters, kettles, juicers, hand mixer, hair dryer, headphones, electric thermometers, phones

·         Pesticides, fertilizers and insecticides for household use

·         Lubricants and engine oils for household use

·         Household cleaning products, dish wash liquid, laundry detergents

·         Printer ink cartridge and toners.

·         Paints, spray paints (lacquers), solvents and varnishes

·         Medical products other than cytotoxic and cytostatic medical substances. Pharmaceutical products are placed in the bin without their paper packaging.

·         AFIS recycling bin. Household batteries
