Green Dot Recycling Program Door to Door

 NOTICE

As from today, Pissouri Community is part of the Packaging Recycling program,

We would like to inform your that after reaching to an agreement with Green-Dot Cyprus, as of June 14, 2022, our Community is becoming a part of the Green Dot Recycling Program. 

The collection of the recyclable materials will take place every Tuesday and will start at 06:00 in the morning. 

The categories in which you need to separate your packages are: PMD, Paper and Glass. The PMD and Paper categories must be placed in special transparent and brown recycling bags, before being placed on the sidewalk of your home, for collection by the Green Dot team. The glass will be collected from the special bins, bell shaped containers, which will be placed in different parts of the Community and will be notified to you.

PMD Materials in Transparent Bag: Plastic Bottles, Containers and Bags, Metal Packaging, TETRA PAK Packaging (NO plastic toys, plastic chairs, plastic cups / plates, polystyrene)

Paper in Brown Bag: Dry cartons, Newspapers, Magazines, Books, Advertising, (NO paper towels, paper wrappers, toilet paper, juice packages)

Glass in Special Bins: Glass Bottles, Food Jars (NO glass, cups, lamps, porcelain dishes and glass devices)

In case of Businesses / apartment complexes you should have direct contact with the company- Green-Dot Cyprus (7000-0090) and in case you meet some criteria, then you will be provided with a PMD Bin, 1100 liters.

The Community Council will supply you free of charge with two rolls of bags (1 transparent for PMD and 1 brown for paper). The grant of free bags by the Community Council will be done only once. Afterwards, the supply of the special recycling bags will be done with your care, by the Supermarkets. 

Pissouri Community Council looks forward to your cooperation, in order to maintain a decent situation in our Community as well as to help for the overall protection of the Environment, through the institution of Recycling.
