Octobriana Monument

The monument of the Octobriana in Pissouri Square, was erected in 2016 at the expense of the Association of Expatriates and Friends of Pissouri. "As the Association of Friends and Expatriates, we considered it our obligation to erect this monument here as a return of the least respect and honor to our militant ancestors," said Niki Perikleous. The protagonists of the uprising in Pissouri in 1931 were two great personalities of that time: MP Christodoulos Galatopoulos and the learned teacher and powerful figure of the community of Pissouri Ioannis Erotokritos.
