The church of Apostolos Andreas

The church of Apostolos Andreas was built with voluntary work by the inhabitants of the Community in 1883 and the works for its construction lasted about twelve (12) years.

The space in which it is built was used as a cemetery until 1912.

The church is built in Gothic shape and is famous for its wood-carved iconostasis built in 1890.

The first bell of the church, weighing 100 kg was of Russian origin with rich decoration and melodic sound and when it when rung its sound reached a distance of 15 km.

The Temple celebrates on the 20th of September and the 30th of November.
